Presented by – Alastair Hall and Joelle Avery from Fitzherbert Rowe

The Privacy Act 2020 will come into force on 1 December 2020. The new Act modernises New Zealand’s privacy framework. For most organisations the most significant change will be the mandatory requirement to report all serious privacy breaches.

Join us for an update on the new Privacy Act 2020 with Fitzherbert Rowe’s Alastair Hall and Joelle Avery, as they discuss:

  • Key changes in the new Act
  • Mandatory privacy breach reporting including fines
  • Privacy Commissioner’s new compliance powers
  • What your organisation needs to do now

There will be a question and answer session after the presentation to answer any privacy law questions you may have.
